Can Retired Airline Staff Use Hotel Crew Rates?

Retired aviation staff are part of the ACD community, but access to a particular hotel crew rate depends on that hotel’s offer. A retirement ID or pension document does not guarantee that a rate is available to you.

Check the individual offer

1. Find your destination on the hotel discounts pages.
2. Read the property’s eligibility and booking instructions.
3. Tell the hotel that you are retired aviation staff and describe the document you can provide.
4. Ask it to confirm eligibility and the applicable booking terms in writing before you book.

If retired staff are not mentioned, treat acceptance as unconfirmed. A policy at one hotel does not establish the policy at another, including within the same chain.

Prepare for arrival
Keep the booking confirmation, the hotel’s written reply and the documents it requested together. Follow the booking route shown for that property. For changes or cancellations, use the contact details and terms in your own confirmation.
