The Hotel Did Not Honour My Crew Rate — What Now?

The Crew

Last Update 4 months ago

This can happen for several reasons:
  • You did not present a valid airline ID — This is the most common reason. All airline staff rates require proof of employment.
  • The rate was not available for your dates — Airline staff rates are subject to availability and may not be offered during peak periods, holidays, or major events.
  • The hotel is not participating — Not all properties within a chain participate in airline staff programmes. The rate page usually states "at participating properties."
  • Booking error — The wrong rate code may have been applied during booking.

    What to do:
    1. Politely ask the front desk to check for the airline rate in their system.
    2. Show your airline ID and mention the specific programme name (e.g., "IHG Airline Employee Rate" or "Hilton Airline Staff Rate").
    3. If the issue persists, ask to speak with the duty manager.
    4. If unresolved, contact the hotel chain's customer service directly — they can usually override at the corporate level.
    5. Report the issue to AirlineCrewDiscount.net via email (top left corner website) or via chat so the listing can be updated if the property is no longer participating.
